Almaz-Antey sets new performance records
Russian air defence specialist Almaz-Antey Concern has reported healthy performance results for 2012. The company’s consolidated revenues had grown nearly 50% to 190.7 billion rubles (about $5.8 billion), and its net profit amounted to 5,179 million rubles.
This growth was achieved through successful work on domestic and export contracts. Last year’s deliveries under the state defense order exceeded the 2011 levels by 3.3 times. The company says all deliveries were performed on schedule. Deliveries to foreign customers increased by more than 20% year-on-year.
Almaz-Antey remains Russia’s largest defense company. Last year it ranked 14th on the Defense News Top 100 of the world’s largest defense manufacturers, ascending from the 25th place held in 2011. The company was first put on the list in 2005, when it ranked 50th based on its 2004 performance.
