SSJ 100 debuts at JetExpo
This year’s JetExpo is the first to feature a new-generation Russian-made VIP aircraft in the static park. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) is demonstrating a Sukhoi Superjet 100 in VIP configuration, a special solution for Rostec Corporation.
Senior Vice-President Evgeny Andrachnikov told Show Observer that the aircraft is the first version of the Sukhoi Business Jet project, derived from the baseline SSJ version. This version is fitted with an 18-seat cabin developed by the Russian specialist Aerostyle, which has long been designing and installing aircraft interiors for various Russian government agencies.
The new business jet flies to 4,600 km fully loaded; additional fuel tanks extend the aircraft’s range to 7,880 km. “We expect this VIP version to be certified and delivered by the end of the year,” Andrachnikov said.
