SVO Business Terminal slated to open in December

Operations at the Sheremetyevo International Airport’s Terminal A will be launched in December 2011. According to Avia Group, a subsidiary of the Sheremetyevo Airport responsible for the terminal construction, the terminal building is currently undergoing interior completion, including furnishing and equipment installation for passport and customs control. Outside the terminal the landscape and infrastructure development is in full swing.
The announcement of the new terminal for business-aviation passengers was made in June 2010 with construction works underway two months later. The building is located in the NW part of the airfield next to the Airport Administration. The terminal area is 2700 sq. m, and its projected annual capacity is 75,000 pax. Besides the Departure and Arrival Halls there are two VIP-lounges, two conference rooms fully equipped to host business meetings, including Wi-Fi Internet connection, a convention hall, a bar overlooking the airfield and a Duty-Free Shop.
50+ parking slots will be arranged at the square in front of the terminal accessible through a security check-point. There are also plans to build a helipad next to the terminal building in the future.
